SHA roll out, collaborative public awareness and registration campaign

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officers of State Agencies and Government Authorities (SAGAs) and the Chairpersons of Boards and Councils under its mandate, had resolved to implement an effective public awareness and registration campaign for Kenyans under the State Health Insurance Scheme (SHA).

Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital was designated to lead this initiative in Nyamira County.   The team  held a consultative meeting with the County Executive Committee Member for Health and the County Commissioner on the 19th November, 2024 to strategize on the roll-out of the program. The registration exercise is expected to take several weeks, and we urge all residents of Nyamira County to actively participate in registering for this vital health insurance coverage.
